Sixty sparkling years since its birth, SouthwesternUniversity’s Official Student Publication, The Quill prides a history intimately interwoven with its alma mater. Its celebrated history speaks scores of dimension of the crusading zeal of past writers and editors who envisioned to recreate a society into what it should ideally be. Until today, the school paper advocates an academic community where each member holds with high regard the right to speak and be heard, a community where each and every one acts within the appropriate bounds of morality.
With the passing of time, The Quill has earned the praises and harvested the laurels of countless individuals and organizations throughout the
Philippines. The almost Herculean efforts of the many brilliant writers of this student publication had been graciously recognized and awarded by the College Editors Guild of the Philippines (CEGP). Certainly, Quillers have all been working, each in his/her own way, for the preservation of campus press freedom in the Philippines.
